Pre-Handover Inspections

We have a comprehensive Pre-Handover Inspection inventory for clients, hirers and scaffolding business owners to ensure the product received meets current legislation and standards.

Due to an industry wide shortage of skilled labour, we see deficiencies at the point of scaffolding set-up as one of the driving factors for projects being prolonged.

It's important to recognise that vast majority of clients and contractors are not scaffolders with an in-depth knowledge of legislation, they simply require a safe and functional scaffold.

We help our clients avoid project issues by enabling time saving whilst the scaffolding contractor is on-site.

Pre-Handover Inspections, promote a positive client and contractor relationship, promote smooth project delivery and reduce overall project cost.

Weekly Inspections

Under the Working at Height Regulations 2005 weekly scaffolding inspections are required. Both basic and design scaffolds are defined by NASC TG20:21. It is the responsibility of the hirer and/or user to ensure that the scaffolding has been as been inspected as per regulations and as follows;

following installation and before first use;
at an interval of no more than every 7 days subsequently;
each time the scaffold is exposed to conditions likely to cause deterioration e.g. following adverse weather conditions or following substantial alteration

Weekly scaffolding inspections need to be completed by competent persons who have the basic training for basic scaffolds or advanced training for more complex design scaffolds or those who have industry specific competency. Scaffolding contractors mostly deliver weekly inspections as part of a supply, fit and inspect package, which isn't always favourable for the client, scaffold users and general public safety.

Incident Inspections

We provide comprehensive Incident Inspections when matters relating to a structure are about to result or have resulted in an incident. Commonly this results in incident call-outs which we respond to 24/7 365 days a year. Commonly, we respond to;

mismanaged use of structures due to a result of overloading;
damaged scaffolding or structures as a result of adverse weather, cranes and vehicles;
structurally compromised buildings as a result of fire or gas explosion damage;
complete or partial collapses

With our quick response Incident Inspection service we identify the issue/s, and advise how to resolve via audit and action plans to avoid reoccurrence, and and provide ongoing inspections where necessary, for issue to entities such as insurers.

Contractor Sourcing

Clients, main contractors, representatives, subcontractors may need support ahead of site works in the form of Contractor Sourcing.

We act as an independent third-party to provide schemes with the best chance of success.

When seeking a new contractor, it's common that both sides are keen to show good will and come to an initial agreement. We take great priority over protecting our clients when forming new business relationships.

For example, Temporary Works is a risky site service and when coupled with poor sequencing can create issue. We provide the relevant due diligence checks from the bullet point service directly below to ensure mutual compatibility.

Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS)

Scaffold specific RAMS are far more important than being a legal requirement.

We pride ourselves in offering our client a detailed planning process to ensure health and safety for all that might be impacted by the associated scaffold activities.

Certain projects can be more hazardous which command experience. We can provide you with a fully accurate set of RAMS for your scheme.

We understand it isn’t always easy as a contactor to ascertain what has been delivered from a scaffolding contactor and visa versa. It is essential to ensure that scaffolding services conform to current standards and legislation, if not this may cause dispute.
